The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the winner of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is offered annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to bettering the lives of children in our group.
Brian Houchins , a devoted elementary college trainer and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of countless kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins' initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, making certain protected and inclusive play spaces for all children.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 15,at the beginning of JanuaryThe Mechanicsburg Community Center will host the ceremony for the award on 15th day of January in 2024. The event will feature speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchin s' contributions, and the award presentation.
